Subtle, classic, oozing quality and yet elegantly understated – that was the approach Kirkcaldie took to designing the fit-out of the main office spaces for Mainland Capital.

The firm recently expanded into an adjoining apartment to add a more generous boardroom with facilities to entertain clients, plus a new meeting room. Kirkcaldie worked to seamlessly connect the look and feel of the existing offices with the new spaces.

The large boardroom features the firm’s signature club-like feel created by Kirkcaldie using traditional materials such as leather, wood and brass combined with deep colour tones, and contrasting textured wall coverings. Ambient lighting and carefully selected artworks enhance the air of sophistication.

Designed with a high-country lodge aesthetic in mind, the client meeting space combines timber flooring with a chocolate brown carpet, linen curtaining, and rustic red joinery for a cosy feel with a touch of the luxurious. A stunning mounted Tahr is the crowning glory in the space.
