Kirkcaldie is a boutique interior design practice crafting unique and timeless spaces across diverse sectors, from large-scale facilities to small, bespoke projects.

We create timeless environments that inspire and uplift through a bespoke approach grounded in materiality and innovative design. We craft unique, enduring spaces that leave a lasting, positive impression.

We know from experience that every successful project is a collaboration, and apart from having an eye for authentic design, one of our key strengths is building strong, transparent relationships with clients, architects, consultants, builders, suppliers and artisans.

\\\
Due to our boutique size, we are selective about the number of projects we take on, but we’re always looking to collaborate with people who want to create extraordinary spaces where their vision is brought to life through materiality, light and colour.

Kirkcaldie has iconic projects like Christchurch’s Riverside Market and Queenstown's Taramea Meeting House to its name. We thrive on collaboration and encouraging clients to share their ideas. Once we have a clear sense of your vision, we will bring the design direction to life with comprehensive mood-boards, renders, plans and a lot of pragmatism, ensuring open channels of communication so that we deliver on time and budget.

Georgie Inglis, the founder, has always had a passion for design and creating stimulating, well-curated spaces. This is coupled with a natural ability to effortlessly bring together colour, form and function.

She has developed her skills over the years starting with a creative journey with study at Otago University that led to a career in FMCG. This was followed by 12 colourful years in Hong Kong which included time with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, a pine nut start-up in Outer Mongolia, followed by the creation of her own women’s fashion label, studying the 5000 year old practice of Feng Shui and completing a Diploma of Interior Design through the New Zealand Design Institute. A move to Christchurch in 2013 allowed another fresh start, with the creation of Kirkcaldie in 2016.
